Creative Spark Art Therapy
October 6th - Youth Mental Health Summit
Creative Spark is proud to partner with Stand By Me NC and Faith Connections on Mental Illness - two amazing community organizations working to eliminate the stigma of mental illness.
Summit participants will be viewing "Angst" an indie film made to raise awareness around anxiety, then participate in break out groups, yoga, art therapy, and an expert panel discussion.
Creative Spark is proud to be one of the sponsors of this amazing community event presented and organized by the HTPA (https://hptaction.org) - a non-partisan group who's mission is to: "spread awareness about our nation’s profound inequities and organizes for fair access to power, wealth, and resources for all."
Creative Spark has been actively involved since the inception of the Healthcare Subcommittee - a point of passion for Erika Hamlett. Erika has been a creative force - making buttons, signs, and other visual creations to help communicate the mission. Erika is responsible for the flyer below!
Just us to hear some amazing speakers discuss
I am proud to be partnering with other local organizations and community focused groups to hold and host events with the goal of bringing community together.
I'm been grateful to be collaborating with
Durham's Habitat For Humanity's ReStore to create
a brand new repurposing workshop: "Build a Tiny Fort."
Check out this audio clip from WCHL! (Click on "clip")
The workshop is divided into 3 days: one for planning, one for building, and one for finishing touches and decoration.
Update as of June 30th: Building continues! We will be continuing to work on our fort until it is complete! Check out the time-lapse videos of the building so far below!
