Therapy

For who?

Creative Spark offers art therapy for individual clients, couples, families, and groups. Art therapy can address many issues, such as:

  • Depression

  • Mood problems

  • Anxiety

  • Isolation

  • Major life changes/transitions

  • Relational conflict

  • Displacement

  • Marginalization

  • Trauma

  • Grief/Loss

Art therapy can be helpful for individuals of all ages: children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. It can provide enrichment opportunities as well:

  • Building new skill sets

  • Exploring new and different ways of navigating the world

  • Mastering existing skills

  • Getting back in touch with art after a break or block

  • Exploring aspects of your identity, past or current.

Where?

Creative Spark offers flexibility when deciding where may be the best place to have therapy (including home, community centers, places of worship, etc). The goal of therapy, or what someone may hope to achieve, varies from person to person or group to group.

Goals may include:

  • Learn ways to manage/cope with depression

  • Manage anxiety

  • Develop strategies to cope and manage with issues that create disfuction in one's life

  • Find balance in daily life

  • Building connective and supportive relationships

  • Art as an enrichment aspect of life, expressing and finding ones voice through art.
